Our role
Harvest Route Sourcing is an independent procurement service, separate from any manufacturer. Our role is to help buyers describe requirements, seek factory quotations and understand where responses differ. The service name identifies this sourcing channel. Manufacturing and supplier representation remain separate responsibilities, confirmed with the relevant provider.
The buyer's decision
The buyer chooses the accepted specification and supplier terms. A manufacturer's statement about origin, treatment or quality should be tied to the exact quoted item. A photograph can explain a product form but cannot prove a measurement, composition or legal-harvest history. Missing information remains an open item in the comparison.
Keep species, material composition, dimensions, finish and quantity unchanged across requests. A proposed substitute gets its own line, with the difference explained.
Describe samples as samples. Ask how the supplier will control variation in the order. Do not treat an attractive surface as evidence of suitability for outdoor exposure.
Explain packing and delivery exclusions in words. Compare costs on the same currency and unit basis before drawing a conclusion from the headline price.
Capture sample approval, document review and unresolved questions in a record. A phone discussion should not silently change a specification already sent to another supplier.
